Microblading FAQs
How long does microblading last?
Microblading generally lasts 1–3 years, depending on the number of sessions you’ve had. After just one session, results may fade completely within 6 months to 1.5 years. Additional sessions extend longevity, and routine touch-ups help maintain fresh, natural-looking brows.
What pigments do you use?
I use Permablend pigments, which are high-quality, long-lasting, and specially formulated for microblading.

What is the aftercare?
Proper care is essential for optimal healing:
First week:
Gently dab brows with a clean, damp paper towel every 2–3 hours to remove oils, dirt, and plasma build-up.
Second week:
Clean brows 2 times daily, being gentle with any flakes.
Avoid for 2 weeks:
Excessive sweating
Swimming
Cosmetic products on brows
Direct sunlight
Submerging brows in the shower (keep them protected)
Picking/scratching
What are the healing stages?
Day 1-3: brows look dark
Day 4–5: Patchy/flaking
Day 6-8: colour will fade
Day 9-14: colour returns
Day 14+: Fully healed, about 30–40% lighter than day 1
After touch-up: Perfected brows
Occasionally, a second touch-up may be needed.
Do I need to do anything before my procedure?
Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Skip caffeine beforehand.
Avoid blood-thinning medications (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aspirin).
Botox should be scheduled 3 weeks before or after the procedure; notify your artist if you’ve had Botox within this window.
Avoid waxing, threading, or tinting 3 days before and at least 3 weeks after.
Microblading cannot be performed if you’ve been on Accutane within the past year.
If the treatment area shows irritation (blemishes, rash, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sunburn, etc.), consider rescheduling.
Stop glycolic acid and retinol products 7 days before and avoid for 30 days post-procedure.
Avoid exercise right before your session.
Sensitivity may increase during your menstrual cycle.
Pro tip:
Bring reference photos of brows you like.
How many sessions do I need?
Two sessions are recommended after your first time, with a touch-up after 8 weeks to perfect color and add density.
Refreshers every 1-2 years help keep brows looking fresh and natural.
Can I get microblading while pregnant or nursing?
No. Clients should wait until after pregnancy and nursing for safety, even though infection risk is low.
Does microblading hurt?
5% lidocaine numbing cream is used to minimize discomfort. Some may feel slight sensitivity.
How will I look right after?
Your Brows will look perfect immediately after the session with crisp strokes and minimal redness. They will darken, flake, and lighten over the next two weeks.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 19+ to receive microblading.

Brow Lamination FAQs
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a non-invasive treatment that smooths and lifts your natural brow hairs into a more uniform, fuller shape. It enhances what you already have.
How long does brow lamination last?
Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth cycle.
Is brow lamination safe?
Yes, when performed professionally, brow lamination is a safe and gentle treatment. High-quality products are used to protect the health of your natural brow hairs.
Will brow lamination damage my brows?
When done correctly, brow lamination should not damage your brows. Keeping the hairs nourished with a conditioning serum or oil helps maintain their health.
Who is brow lamination best for?
Brow lamination is ideal for those with unruly, uneven, or downward-growing hairs, as well as anyone wanting a fuller, fluffier, more defined brow look without permanent makeup.
Can I get brow lamination if I have thin or sparse brows?
Yes. Lamination can help create the appearance of fuller brows by repositioning the hairs you already have. If you’re looking for more density, pairing it with a tint can enhance the result.
What should I do before my appointment?
Arrive with clean brows and avoid applying oils or heavy skincare products around the brow area on the day of your appointment.
What skincare ingredients should I avoid before and after brow lamination?
Avoid applying active ingredients such as retinoids, or exfoliating acids on or near the brow area for at least 3-5 days before and after your appointment, as they can increase skin sensitivity.
What is the aftercare?
Keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours and avoid steam, saunas, and heavy sweating. After that, gently brush them into place daily and keep them hydrated with a nourishing oil or serum.
Can I wear makeup after my appointment?
It’s best to avoid applying makeup around the brow area for the first 24 hours to allow the treatment to fully set.
How often can I get brow lamination?
It’s recommended to wait at least 6–8 weeks between treatments to maintain the health of your natural brow hairs.
Who should avoid brow lamination?
Brow lamination is not recommended if you are pregnant, nursing, or have used Accutane within the last year. It should also be avoided if you have very sensitive skin, active irritation, or certain skin conditions in the brow area. A consultation is always recommended if you’re unsure.
What’s the difference between brow lamination and microblading?
Brow lamination enhances your natural brow hairs by lifting and setting them in place, while microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that creates hair-like strokes to add shape and fullness.
Can I get brow lamination if I’ve had microblading?
Yes. Once your microblading is fully healed, brow lamination can be a great way to enhance and refresh your overall brow look.
